Melodie Ried

  Miss Melodie is originally from New Mexico. Her love of music began in elementary school with piano lessons, show choir and beginning band. She continued her music education in college at Eastern New Mexico University where she received a Bachelors in Music in 1997 and a Bachelors in Music Therapy in 1999. She did her student teaching at elementary schools in Portales, New Mexico and received her teaching certificate in 1999. She has worked as a music therapist and music educator in California, Arizona, Montana and Utah. She worked for the State of California as a music therapist, teaching music to children and adults with special needs. She has taught choir, beginning band, guitar and general music classes in the public school setting. Miss Melodie started her own private music studio in 2002 and has taught private and group lessons ever since. In addition to teaching music, she loves to play music and sing. She plays a variety of instruments including guitar, piano, flute, saxophone and clarinet. Miss Melodie is excited to teach the students at The Winner School music and help them develop their talents.
